Well, I'm already working a full time job and a part time job, I'm signed up with 3 mystery shopping companies, I've sold everything non-essential on ebay and Amazon, I use quidco, pigsback etc too...

So, what next to earn a few more quid?

  • I' m in the same situation as you and don' t know what to do next! I guess you could get stuff via freecycle and sell that on ebay as you' ve no stuff of your own left.

perhaps look more into jumble sales, charity shops etc. Start matched betting (if appropriate for you!). I won't be doing the mb for a while - scares me :)

  • Matched betting really is the best way to make free easy money. It does take a while to get your head a round it BUT definately worth it in the long run. If you can start with 1-200 quid you can easily make a few hundred a month. Some are making a lot more then that but obviously they have more time and patience then some of us :) You can actually start with as little as 20 quid if you think it is a big risk, the reason I say 100-200 is that you can take advantage of 2-3 offers very quickly and obviously you will make more money the more you do it. Try having a look at the newbie thread on the gambling board on here. Also worth remembering that if it really was dodgy or non money saving Martin wouldn't allow it on his boards so if it is good enough for him then it must be ok for us ;) and they guys on there are so friendly they will help you through eery step of the way until you are perfectly comfortable with it.

    Hi Tom

Another vote for matched betting - it really is as good as it sounds. Take your time to get your head around it and use the newbie thread on the Gambling loopholes forum to ask any questions. Don't be tempted to race - there is money to be made but only if you do it right!

I'm making about £300 a month I reckon and am not doing this every waking hour! ;)

    Good luck.

I really dont agree with this and I'm actually offended, it defeats the purpose and ethos of freecycle. I give items away on the basis that I no longer have the use of them but I hope it is a welcome addition to someone elses home, and when I receive an item I really appreciate not having to pay for it, regardless if its 2nd or 3rd hand, it's new to me.

If this is becoming the norm on freecycle I'll no longer use it

I hope the op finds another way of making an income and continues to do well in the hope of becoming dfw

  • I agree Cath, I chose not to respond.. I wouldn't like to abuse people's good will in such a way. :)
  • Same here, freecycle is not supposed to be for monetary gain.

However, I have seen a couple of people in my local group state that they are happy for the stuff to be re-sold IF the taker states that is their purpose for taking them. I expect that's in case no one who needs the stuff replies so they can still clear tehir clutter. In that case, and that case only, I'd say it was ok.

Yeah I wouldnt mind that either, aslong as nobody else maybe in a less fortunate position didnt want it

  • I can't see what the problem is if you are gettting rid of the stuff. You have the option of ebaying it.
