    Try http://www.fiatsupasaver.com or http://www.broadspeed.com

They should be able to do an 07 for much the same price before any extra discount.
Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350
    Debt now: £14,100
Debt free day: October 2008
  • Try https://www.drivethedeal.com you can get a fiat from as little as £5491 (07 plate) and on the road. I would also try and email as many fiat dealers as possible stating how much you can get the car for!! They will fall over you to beat each others price.

    Hope this helps
  • if you wait for the new reg to come out still try and get a pre reg car. As soon as you drive a new car off the forecourt it's second hand so you might as well let them lose the money due to depriation than you losing it.

I'm not the big fan of pre-reg, that some people are!

For the small - & in the the case of lower cost new models, the savings are even less attractive, once you find the REAL price you can get the same model new for.

Plus it'll be current registration & year (the difference come trade in time, will mean getting less for it when YOU want to sell on again).

You'll have lost several months warranty.

    Might not have 12months tax.

Might actually be buying the 'demonstrator' - or courtesy car, or run around car. Appreciate not on the one you describe.

It isn't NEW, so might have had paintwork rectification, too.

Might get 0% or low finance on NEW, but not on pre-reg.

So do, please, check the links mentioned above & see what a deal you can get!!

  • You need to ask about the conditions of sale on ANY pre reg deal. There are two situations in which a dealer will pre register a car:

    1) Where the manuf'r instigates it and subsidises the dealer to do it, in an effort to move excess stock into the marketplace. In this situation the dealer is free to re-sell the car as soon as they want and the new owner can have their name put on the logbook as 2nd owner as soon as they buy it

    2) Where a dealer takes the decision to pre-register without the manuf'rs OK on it - mf'rs don't want loads of pre reg cars hitting the market as it devalues the brand and brings residual values down too quickly on a model..which the buying public also dislike! (this is where the vast majority of broker-derived cars come from). In these situations the dealer is supposed to run the registered car as a demo for 3-6 mths (timeframe depends on their contract with the manuf'r they represent.

Withholding the logbook from you is the only way they can stop the new buyer alerting the DVLA or the manuf'r that the car has been resold too early.

If you buy ANY pre reg car ask waht the logbook retention period is, if any. We're a broker and we sell no pre reg's where there's any retention period as we provide a clean honest service. If your name isn't on the V5 for some months you need to tell your insurers that as you aren't technically the named owner on the V5 for that period and if you ever have to produce your documents you are stuck. Insurers have different views on these situations, so check with yours.

A good time to buy brand new is at the end of September and end of March. I think they are the key times for dealers to register as many cars as possible in order to reach 'sales targets' to get their manufacturers bonuses. In some cases the bonuses are huge to the dealer so that will be more inclined to give you the maximum discount (ie cost price, or as close to cost as they can go). If they dont sell enough to Joe public they will pre-register in order to make the sales targets. Bear that in mind and maybe wait until the last week in March before you press the dealer for his best price.
