Windows XP v Vista

My parents (80 and 73) are considering buying a laptop. They have zero pc experience. I have XP and am advising them for ease of use, and so that I can help them troubleshoot, and for availability of software they should opt for XP. Does anyone else agree, or advise to the contrary? Also is anyone aware of the major brands…

I'm getting so bord with people slagging Vista. My new laptop runs on Vista home premium and none of the horror stories are true about it eating cpu and memory up. When i go back to xp on my desktop now it looks very dated and old. If so many people don't like bill gates then why are they all going about how good xp is. Take my advice its Vista all the way........

Don't listen to the bad things about Vista its the best :beer:
