We found that visitors to Heathrow share 1,258 kisses every day. So, how many bottles of champagne do you think are sold at the airport every day? Guess correctly & you go into the draw. Two other entrants will also win some Laurent Perrier champagne courtesy of World Duty Free. We'll do the draw and announce the lucky winners on Valentine's Day, Tuesday 14 February

I've been googling but only found some info for whisky

    • Every day over 26,000 cups of tea, 6,500 pints of beer and 6,500 sandwiches are sold to the public at Heathrow.
    • Whisky is the most popular spirit - on average a bottle is sold at Heathrow every seven seconds.

  • I found this:
Every hour shops at London's Heathrow airport sell over 350 bottles of scotch whisky, 20 bottles of champagne, 40 lipsticks and nail polish, 170 bottles of perfume and 60 bottles of aftershave.

    On this site - http://www.prnewswire.co.uk/cgi/news/release?id=56405

According to that number it would be 480 bottles in a 24hr period, which is obviously much lower than any of the possible answers. But it does suggest that it's on the low side, so perhaps the 870 option?

That seems a little low given how many terminals there are and how many passengers pass through Heathrow everyday... check how old those estimates are :)

I think I'm going to choose 870....I can't imagine it to be much more than that. Champagne isn't the cheapest thing to buy is it.
