Wooden flooring

Hi all,
have the following flooring installed in living room:
http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/flooring/wood-laminate-flooring/solid_wood_flooring/B-and-Q-Select-Solid-Oak-Flooring-Brushed-Caramel-Pack-Size-1-180-Sq-m-9586564

The flooring has been down for four years and the colour has started to fade in the walking routes.
Dont want to sand the whole floor and dont need to.
Anyone any idea how to re-colour or dye the worn areas,

you could try a colour wax, test in an area you can see first!
  • Would that work? I mean, if you dye the floor isn't that going to make even more of a colour contrast with the original?I think you may need to sand it.

It has a laquer finish so will need sanded and re-laquered every so often.

    • Naturally grained 18mm thick premium solid wood boards
    • Crafted to the highest standards with bevelled edges and brushed and lacquered finish
    • Can be sanded and re-lacquered over the years
    • Varying lengths supplied in each pack to create a truly individual floor
    • Board width 123mm
