Airlines / Flights to Vancouver from UK

Im looking to go and visit a mate in vancouver anytime after the middle of June 2007. zoom at present look the best bet, around £470 but even that is still not 'cheap'.
Can anyone recommend any airlines or specific flights? Ideally from scotland.

try skyscanner.net which has prices of flights from scottish airports to vancouver . cheapest to vancouver seems to be around the £350+ mark0
