Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
If that's at ASDA then I might be responsible for those changes after I filed a complaint against TCP with the BPA a few months ago. I have just complained again about this company, this time about their signs in a retail park in Mansfield. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

We really need some complaints from people who suffer from a longterm/chronic condition to be sent to these big retailers. Not people with a temporary condition like a broken leg though, it would have to be from people 'protected' by the Equality Act 2010 and who would need a disabled bay.
We need to point out to the retailers that the Blue Badge scheme doesn't apply and to harass disabled people for using the 'reasonable adjustment' of a disabled bay is unlawful.
We could all send a complaint into a Supermarket HO if we know someone who fits the definition of disability - such as anyone with a diagnosis of any long term debilitating condition.
We could say that we were going to bring them there to do their shopping but decided not to as apparently we 'couldn't park' in a disabled bay close to the store. As their agent's signs breach disability law by discriminating against a large section of the genuinely disabled members of Society, what are the big retailer going to do about it?
And while they are about it, what provision is in place to allow disabled customers longer than the restricted time to park there, that non-disabled people get?
I know that we would be likely to get a fob off response but that fob off response would be VERY enlightening and might help genuine disabled people decide where to shop. Could even be useful for future cases...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Does diabetes count in the equality act ? I take my mum shopping every week and we just park in the normal bays, even though she does struggle to get out the car if there are other cars about. Come to think of it she has arthritis as well and that doesn't help getting out of cars.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. Yes, diabetes does count. And so does arthritis!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well okay when I take her shopping next time I will park in a disabled bay as she is entitled to use them. She has no blue badge as she doesn't drive and it's never really entered her head that she is counted as disabled. Will see if anything happens then.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

I see they will contact the dvla to recover the notice, if they want it back so much then they should provide a SAE, cheaper than DVLA.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Taffy you could be the one to sue a retailer or at least rattle their cage about the Act!

I had a silly idea, lets email Watchdog on mass about how supermarkets are failing their disabled customers by "limiting" usage of disabled bays to a scheme which doesn't apply on private land. Might get someone from the BPA on the sofa opposite Anne trying to explain stuff and proving that he is running a protection racket with no interest in customers other than their money0

You don't need to be a driver to have a blue badge, Taffy. The driver can be fit but a passenger disabled. Anyone can get a blue badge. I know it's irrelevant in a private car park.0
