I chewed my lips through...

Am looking for product advice here- (nothing serious btw)
I've had a very stressful few days and as a result had managed to aquire overly dry lips which then cracked...(when I get stressed my lips always end up drying out) I then (stupidly) began chewing them to get rid of the dry skin which had been peeling and scratching and its now gotten to the stage where my lips hurt, I bleed if I try to smile and a lot of what I eat stings!
Nothing serious- I know it will go in time but is there anything anyone can recommend to help sooth things a bit and if possible speed the recovery up?
I had been using Vaseline but this just slides right off and makes my lips drier as a result.

Blistex healing, link below but available over the counter in Boots, Superdrug and some supermarkets. Do NOT get any of the other Blistex stuff, this is the one that works properly

I have had very dry cracking lipa before and found the very best thing to be germolene (the one with the anaesthetic in). It helps them to heal and also stops the pain when smiling etc. Hope this helps!0

Olive oil. Works a treat. Just put it in a little tub/bottle, and apply every now and again.
If you have broken skin, anything with mint in it will probably sting.
In terms of diet, up your vitamin C intake. If not convenient, get some vitamin C tablets.0 -
Usually use vaseline petroleum jelly, tried the 1 with aloe vera this year. And if u need a pick em up before a night out, a little vaseline on and old tooth brush will get rid of the dry skin, will also plump the lips up and make them look kissable. Wouldn't recommend the toothbrush every day tho, be sure to put some on before going out in the cold too.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

I second the olive oil but what I do is pour some into a small jar and put it into the freezer so it sets as I find it easier to apply and less messy, it also keeps much longer and you can pop it back in the freezer when it is starting to defrost.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;

I slather a load of bepanthen ( the nappy cream) on before I go to bed and this really helps. Mine get really bad too

I find Urtekram shea butter lip balm is good for dry lips. It's plant-based and organic, and you can often find it in health food shops

Carmex! Since having my son 2 weeks ago, my lips have been so dry and this the only thing that moisturises them.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
