    I think you have it all worked out well, the Pup will be fine because it will have your older dog for company also. Many people recommend a book called The Perfect Puppy by Gwen Bailey, it's supposed to be really good. We will expect lots of photos!

    Sorry, did not see your MIL is taking the dog to her actually rather than just poping in for a bit - that all looks good.

    When I got Zara, she was 16 weeks and already toilet trained and yes, I was working and coming home lunch time to take her out with a neighbour taking her out for me as well so.... will work fine for you.

    Do not forget the photos, you MUST ost the photos of both the current resiodent dog and the puppy :)

    I would be more concerned about your current dogs reaction. Even the most laid-back dog can be intolerent of a puppy constantly wanting to play and later, push boundries. A teenage Rottie will be a force to be reckoned with and your older dog, being female will not want to relinquish her status! The pup would have to be crated all the time you are out of the house for a good few months.

    Also, lead-walking two dogs is a skill that requires lots of training!
