Where do i start

I have a work colleague who when i told him i had recieved money back off my credit card started telling me about the P.P.I he had paid on loans, mortgages and credit cards quite a while ago with most of them finishing over 5 years ago. I told him he might be entitled to reclaim some of them back and he has now asked me to find out if he can. Is there anyway i can find out what P.P.I he has paid as he isn't sure who he had some of the loans and C.C.

If he is not sure who the banks are,he needs to look at his credit file, this will have accounts from the past 6 years,it only shows 4 digits, but he can phone the bank with these (and other info about his self)and ask for terms and conditions.
If he paid by DD then his bank may still have the DD info and this will have the full account number and the bank.
