Just picked one up from Alty.
I was warned that a substitute equivalent item maybe provided, (though did infact get the correct item); not sure what the substitute item might be - perhaps a mach 5?
I also have one reserved in Warrington until the end of the day, if anyone is still looking?0 -
Got one reserved in Dewsbury, changed my mind so if anyone wants it its available until the end of today, store closes 17.30.0

Just watched their demo video TRYING to pick up cornflakes and am not impressed at all. Wanting to replace one we bought last year for the caravan that works fine until you use the normal brush head that is useless0

i have got a mach 1 i know its not the same but to just warn people these seem good at first but loses it's suction after using a few times and i don't have pets. i see someone mentioned picking up fluff to well again this hoover is rubbish for that and i have to use the nozzle which isn't good for me as i have a bad back.
this one may be a lot better but just wanted to let peple know. HTH
p.s also after having it only 6 weeks it got VERY noisy and had to have the nozzle changedhave now given up smoking since feb 13th 2014 loving the money I'm saving0 -
I bought a vax about a year ago from argos with a deal posted on here - have to agree with crystal - thought it was great first few uses but lost suction after a few weeks - the tools worked great but the actual hoover was carp - decided to get rid of it & get another dyson & NO-ONE wanted it - I was giving it away free but everyone I asked had the same problem with Vax's before0

I have this same model and have found it to be absolutely superb and recommended a couple of times. I have had it for about a year and a half now and have found that it is far superior to the old Henry we had. The only negatives I have come across are: it is quite noisy (but then so are all vacuum cleaners!) and it has quite a short cable. That said, the telescopic handle is brilliant, cleaning it is fantastic and it is makes very quick work of any cleaning. Highly recommended, unless you live in a very large place as taking the plug out and replugging it would be annoying.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. needed something light to vac the stairs with mainly as my Dyson is so cumbersome. Took a lot of searching to find one in stock though. Seems ok so far, thanks OP for the heads up0

Well I'm delighted with mine. I bought one straight after Christmas having had an upright for about 12 years and struggling on the stairs with it so opted for a cylinder.
I wasn't convinced at first dragging something along and made an excuse to take it back to get another upright - noisy as hell and way heavier than my previous upright and I was hankering back after the Vax. This time round it was £10 cheaper!
I'm delighted with mine, my house isn't massive so the lead isn't a problem for me but I did note it's not very long. I'm pleased with everything about it.
Yes I also noted the video where she was hoovering the corn flakes and they actually cut away as it was taking her so long!!!! Ha ha - not great marketing there. I regularly drop my incense on the carpet to hoover it up and it's fab, it gets all my dogs hairs up and I'm constanly surprised at the amount of dirt it seems to find.
I'm delighted and Argos have a great returns policy so if you're not happy just take it back.0 -
No stock near me, but an alternative that has good reviews http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/hoover-tsp2004-spirit-cylinder-bagless-vacuum-cleaner-black-blue-10006040-pdt.html £54.99
Am picking mine up tomorrow, anyone got any experience of this one?:EasterBun0 -
I bought one after reading the reviews here. Frankly, I'm quite disappointed. It doesn't work on carpets (maybe it works well on other surfaces). I don't have pets but my hair is quite long so it falls off. The vacuum cleaner just doesn't pick up my hair or at best my hair is clogged around the brush. Beware if you have carpet.0
