How easy is it to transfer money from overseas' account to UK account?

    If your friend doesn't have a UK account any more, another option would be for both of you to open accounts with Moneybookers/Skrill (http://www.moneybookers.com) - it's similar to PayPal but with lower fees.

  • Moneybookers fees may be low but they charge a 2% exchange weighting. Also there is no protection for your money if they go belly-up.

    Again, which is the best way to transfer depends on the amount and the OP hasn't said how much that is.
