quick divorce

Options
can anyone please direct me to the right place how to get a quick divorce???
I was thinking about the £39 packedge online.
Would it be enought though without solicitors help as I would strugle to do the finance.
We have 3 kids undre18 no mortgage and some savings, 17 years of marriage and I earn peanuts. We would have to put the house for sell and split it.
All I want is out, there isnobody else not has there been adultery , just no interest at all in being together.
Is there a quick way to get rid off my prince without being with him in the house for too long>??
I have been to see someone in CAB but he was no use.
How much would solicitor be to end thisand how long it would take?? I just want a realy end and move on.
Thanks for any help

You can get divorce papers from the court. It a fixed fee but you need advice about sorting the finance side out regarding the house and savings incase things take a down turn.

Some one will be along soon to tell you more.

with 3 dependent children and a house to split you don't really need a quick divorce, you need a GOOD divorce!

Are the two of you agreed on what will happen with the kids and the assets?

  • I used an online company and had children under 5. They sent me all the letters etc but I live in Scotland and we didn't know where their dad had gone. It was a really simple process and took 7 weeks from start to finish and cost me £180.

there's no such thing as a 'quick' divorce - it takes as long as it takes. Even if everyone concerned fills in the paperwork correctly first time and sends it back immediately, it will take at least 4 - 5 months (depends how busy your local court is). Do give some serious consideration to legal advice - many solicitors will do a free half hour which you can use to your advantage if you take in all your questions.

You can do all the paperwork yourself - the divorce itself doesn't need a solicitor to prepare everything. However, you must get the financial side of things signed off by the courts and it is unlikely a judge will sign it off if you haven't had some advice. Try https://www.wikivorce.com as a good starting point.
  • Thank you for your advise.
No, he would never agree on divorce or any finance, he is happy as he is. if I want a divorce I have to sort everything out myself, aparently. It just seem a bit scary, so it looks like I will need some good advice anyway. Well have to go for it now. Cheers
  • just for refence if you are paying all costs then t will just under £400 riughly half that if you are agreeing to pay it between you of course this is the minimum it can cost as that is basically court fees for filing and processing of divorce papers
  • If he wont agree to divorce or sorting out the finance I doubt it will go through quickly. I agree with another poster who advised on focusing on an amicable divorce rather than how fast the process can be. I dont doubt your need for this to happen as soon as possible. If you sort everything out properly now you will be able to move on with your life far easier and more smoothly. I wish you all the best.

If he won't agree to the divorce you are going to be stuck with 5 years separation as the reason
