Update on all alone in a cottage all weekend

For anyone who didn't read my previous post, I was nervous at being in a tiny cottage in the middle of nowhere for the weekend whilst I bring my youngest son up North to stay with his dad. For everyone who did, well. I am in heaven!
My lovely ex brought me round a basket with lots of really nice things from the area....ice cream was included!
As you can see, I have an internet connection, which I didn't need last night because I spent the evening watching DVDs that I'd intended to watch but never had the time, whilst eating chocolate and drinking wine.
I've done the facepack, had the bath oil experience, and had the most wonderful long walks with my dog which I never would have done at home - too many things to do, kids to see to, cleaning, etc etc ...e...t....c!
I've bought some lovely lamb chops for my tea tonight (wouldn't normally have them, far too expensive) and intend to spend the rest of the time messing about on the internet, eating (more) chocolate and drinking (more) wine and not worrying about the 18 year old who is at home alone!
Thanks to all you lovely people who boosted my confidence and told me to get out here and embrace it. Thing is, I think I want to stay!

I'd love a weekend like yours ! Glad you're enjoying it, and it's nice to see that you have an ex you get on with too. My ex came yesterday with a huge bunch of flowers for me for my birthday ! You don't have to hate each other do you ? I think life's too short.0

Glad you're emjoying yourself
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Exactly, Meer53, life is too short! We went for a lovely long walk this morning, it was lovely to see him and our youngest together. And flowers! Happy birthday to you!2013 NSD challenge 3/10

Wonderful! And it does show that there can be civilised behaviour after divorce for some people
