I've just found EnKore, who has some really fascinating videos on techniques and materials. Here's one where he tells you how to buy brushes from art/craft supply stores, exactly like MAC brushes only a tiny fraction of the price:

There's a great Enkore one too where he comes up with a make your own lipstick storage case out of cardboard boxes. I haven't had time to have a go at it yet but it'd be perfect for me so i could see all my lippie colours with them standing up :-)
