The trouble is that DLA only have the original form in front of them to start with - and if it's not worded "right", then the claims tend to be rejected (not fair, I know).
So, in my experience, those that are filled out by professionals stand the best chance of early success.
Added to this (as you say), many medics dispute the existence of ME/CFS - so, on top of help, you generally need a wealth of medical back-up.
We also have a government hell bent on turning disability into an "anti-social habit", and they have their targets for cuts in awards/payments - depression, bad backs, CFS, ME etc.,
But, claims can be successful - just get help before you start!

I am not sure if you can make a new claim if you are currently in receipt of DLA. You should be getting your re-newal forms in the next few weeks, so I would suggest waiting to fill them in as this will be counted as a new claim.
I have FMS, SLE and some other ailments and DLA got in contact with all my consultants and GP. It took 16 weeks as I also asked for a re-consideration and they took everything into account.
It sounds like you have been treated unfairly and I would put in an immediate complaint with regards to the doctors attitude towards you. Everything should have been noted and written down at the meeting, so there should be proof of what he said.
I would also immediately contact your local MP detailing everything and I guarantee that you will be replied too. Explain you have full backing of GP, consultants, you are on crutches, you took advisors with you to help and that all of this was dismissed and you were made to feel like a fraud.
Remember you are asking for what you are entitled too and nothing more!
Hugs and chin up. I know this must be a worrying time, but keep perservering and you will get there.

The tribunial can only set aside the decision on a point of law Im afraid.
Go back to CAB & ask for their advice at this stage.
They would be unable to help with the tribunial due to the short timescale .I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I have just gone through the same ordeal and been cheated out of a benefit I should be entitled to. There is obviously a witch-hunt on people claiming DLA and other benefits. Reading these posts I am not surprised I lost tho, I don't even have the support of a GP, because for years she has refused to listen, made no real attempt at a diagnosis and generally makes it obvious that patients were put on this earth to waste her time.
It was the last straw, she had allready avoided diagnosing my daughter's illness for almost six years. I made an official complaint to the practice, but I doubt if she'll even get a slap on the wrist, so where do you turn when the so called carring proffesionals let you down. The tribunal sent a doctor to visit me at home and I could hardly believe my eyes when I read his report. Several mistakes and some downright lies! Yet when I challenged it, my word and written submisions from people who know me well counted for nothing.
Why is the word of us ordinary mortals worth less than the so called experts, we all know what happened to many women accused of killing their babies because of expert testimony.0
