Squeaky punto

I have a '02 Punto ELX, it has started to make an odd squeaky noise when the back end is bouncing, usually when i go over speed bumps which my local council seem to have a job lot of.
I'm not sure what it is but i'm thinking poss shock absorbers?
Any ideas & if so how much to fix + it's due an MOT next month would it fail on this?
Thanks

More likely to be suspension bushes, around £50 a corner.
Shock absorbers, suspension bushes, etc., can be an MoT fail but simply being noisy wouldn't be enough - it would only be enough for the car to fail the MoT if they weren't doing their job properly. However if they're making noises like that then they're on their way out so it's worth getting them fixed regardless.
If the MoT is due in a month then you can get the MoT done within 30 days of the old expiry date (so you have up to 13 months' MoT remaining) so you only have to make one visit to the garage.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350

This happened to my P reg Punto and it turned out that the suspension brushes had gone and the suspension swing arms had gone. We broke down going on holiday and we were without a car in the middle of the Highlands. There was smoke coming out the back and everything. It was terrible.
Get it fixed asap before this happens to you. It may cost you but mine ended up costing £450.Lightbulb moment 2/1/07First Direct £2500 loan
