hi just an update on my parking charge, i have just received my third letter, first two from uk parking, third one from debt recovery plus asking now for £150 within 7 days of letter, if no payment by then they will have no alternative to assume that i will not be paying up and their solicitor may issue county court proceedings against me(or a decree in scotland) i have seen this letter on crabmans.
i have followed your comments and i am not paying up but must say my stomach is full of butterflies as i write.

MAY issue... but never does. You MAY win the lotto jackpot... but do you? The odds are more or less the same in both cases.

2 things you MUST do:
1. Ignore them.
2. Repeat 1.0 -
And also
3. Allocate a drawer or box for the letters, marked 'scam letters' and shut them in there. A bit like an email deleted or spam folder.
4. Make a cup of tea and have a nice slice of cake.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This is exactly what they want you to feel.
The main thing to note is that the word used is "may" and not the word "will", big difference!I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

UKPC UPDATE
just received fourth letter REDUCED PAYMENT OFFER from £130.00 to £104.00 this has come from Debt Recovery Plus if paid within 7 days
further to our "notice of intended liitigation"letter in relating to the parking charge
we have referred your case to our client and have proposed issuing county count proceeding against you(for a decree in Scotland). if the case reaches court and judgment is obtained costs may increase the debt as follows: bla bla bla
i cannot see this letter on crabman so i will try to get someone to load it on to the system for me
number 1 2 and 3 letters are on crabmans so this might be a new one
i shall still ignore and wait for the next one , put it in the fileeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
i keep you informed0 -
It's the last throw of the dice, it's like them saying "they are not paying the £130, lets see if they will fall for a reduced amount".
Just prove that it isn't an estimate of landowner losses, if they can go down (as well as up), a loss of zero doesn't increase after 4 weeks.0 -
Keep going, spring chicken remember that the last letter you will get will make you the unmissable offer of paying nothing at all. Or rather the absence of any more letters will do that.
"Notice of intended litigation" if only I had a quid for every time I have seen that bull-crap.0 -
Hi again, my daughter has scanned the recent letter but we cannot seem to get it on the system, it is simular to the previous one with just a few more details.0
