Tax credit over payment from 2010 collection?

The HMRC have sent me a letter stating I worked and earned more money than I was allowed to in 2010 and I created an overpayment of £1050.00.
I don't work now due to ill health so how will they recover this amount? It was a genuine mistake as I worked for 4 different employers.
Thanks

Hi,
Assuming you're no longer claiming TC, the OP will be collected from you personally...methods of payment can be pretty much anything: DD, SO, bank payment, cheque, PO, etc.
However, OP installments of this type are normally collected over 12 months. As you're not working, you'd need to contact them to reschedule such repayments on the grounds of affordability. Provided you contact them, they should work with you and come to a reasonable agreement.======================================
