But the 200 quid should be in march's billing period, due by march 10, I'd have though, and thus incur no interest until then. But I can't get anyone to confirm this...0

No one will confirm that you don't have to pay interest on the £200 because you do have to pay interest.
The £1000 was in February - if you pay off the lot = no interest
If you choose to pay less than the full amount (ie£800 - leaving £200) you WILL pay interest on the £200.
It will then appear in the March bill
If you make a purchase between paying off the £800, and your next bill arriving, you will also pay interest on this from rge day you make the purchase. This does make sense.
You are only offered the "up to 56 days interest free" if you pay off your bill in full. If you carry over ANY balance (even £1 !) your new purchases will attract interest from the day you make them.
This is the same with almost all credit cards.
The deal is simple.
You have 13 months to pay off your £1000 with no interest, if you don't payy off the bill in FULL, you pay interest on the amount outstanding for EVERY DAY it is outstanding.
If you settle your TOTAL bill in FULL, you don't pay any interest on any subsequent purchases if you pay the bill when it arrives in FULL.Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0 -
Cheer Paul, that's the part I didn't understand! :j0
