Car accident - court forms? HELP!
Hi all!
I hope this is the right place to post this!
I had a car accident (collision with another car) in August last year. We went through the insurance, I admitted liability, paid my excess and got my car fixed and I thought that was the end of it!
This morning I've had a claim form through from the courts, the other driver is claiming against me for his excess, hire car cost etc...it's £1000 which I just don't have!!
I thought the point of my insurance was that he would get paid through them and I don't have to pay any more? I'm really worried about this and my insurance co isnt open til monday to discuss it.
Can anyone advise me on what will happen? I'm in tears and now have this hanging over me all weekend!
Sorry this is so long!
Thanks in advance!

send the forms off to your insurance, they'll sort it.0

There's no need to worry. You're right in thinking that your insurance company will pay out for any losses that the other driver has suffered. Just let your insurance company know on Monday that you have received the claim form, then forward everything you have received on to them and they will take it from there."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0

That's the whole point of insurance, they cover the costs and not you!0

My son is in the reverse situation, the other insurers are dragging it out so court papers are on the way to the person involved. No doubt OP's insurers are doing the same, ignoring it and hoping it will go away which just adds to the stress of the OP when this turns up in the post.

I think the other point is not to make any contact or comment to the other party, insurers don't like that.

And never admit liability for an accident, again your insusrer will tell you that, it's their perogative to aportion blame.;);)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
