Car Insurance for Sports Coach

My son has been offered a job as a sports coach. Low key, coaching children & adults - no 'super stars' but insurance companies seem to think he will have high profile players in his car & the insurance is very high if they will even quote.
How has anyone else managed this problem? Obviously he wants to be legally insured but it seems so unfair.
Thankyou.

Some clubs have deals with local brokers to help their staff get reasonable insurance, has he asked at work?0
-
Yes. we thought of that but they don't unfortunately. At the moment he is down as unemployed as the job hasn't started yet, I know this also isn't looked on favourably but not sure which is worse!0

Speak either to a reputable broker or directly to an insurer. Could his role be described as a sports teacher rather than a coach?0

I suppose sports teacher is possible, we also thought about Leisure Centre assistant as he will be doing some reception/booking work. Maybe talking to a broker direct might be a good idea. I was told several years ago by a lady in an insurance co. sales dept, when he was doing this as a summer job, to never declare him as a sports coach as the premiums rocketed.0
