Rbs ppi denials

I hope someone can possibly advise me what next to do..
Last year I contacted direct line over a loan they sold me with ppi included which was misold to me, I was subsequently told I would have to write a letter to the rbs ppi customer concerns team retail compliance team, detailing my grievance.
I had a letter back confirming my letter of complaint is to be investigated, confirming receipt the detailed information I gave them to look at. I did not have the loan agreement available, however I sent bank statements confirming my loan payment date, confirming it was with directline financial services and my proof of address.
They have subsequently written back claiming they cannot find any evidence of payment protection insurance being included in this loan but whats delaying the problem is they have mistakenly used my bank account number as my loan agreement number which is clearly wrong. I don't even bank with them!!
I have made many phone calls to explain their mistake and all they seem to repeat is they have no records that I took a loan out with them then.
"but my bank statements prove I did" !!
I then contacted the fsa and sent my statements and grievance to them but they said it can take up to 2 years to get a resolution!!
What no can I do now, Martin Lewis or somebody please please advise me!!!

The AA should have dealt with this claim, they sold you this loan and ppi not RBS,if you have internet banking, look at your DD list this will show the loan account number,if you do not have internet banking, ring your bank and ask them to find this for you.
When you have the account number, write to Direct Line and tell them they sold you the loan and are responsible for this mis sell.
A bank statement does not prove ppi on the loan i am afraid, get the account DD info from your bank.0
