How much do I need to spend? I want something that's going to last me but I don't need anything with a huge capacity or anything fancy. Space for a couple of hundred songs would do it.
Any idea what sort I should go for? There's e-cookies in it for you

Creative have an outlet on ebay selling mp3 players with damaged boxes - i've bought 2 from them now and the worst one had a tiny bash on the corner of the box - highly recommended.

Have a look at Currys, they occasionally do half-price deals on Matsui players. I bought a 2gb one a couple of months ago for £25, pretty good for the money.0

Def Ebay but make sure its the Creative Shop. If you look 1gig players often go for about £15.00 plus post of about £7.00. And there's always lots too.0

I used Tecno last year for a digital camera and was very impressed by the price and service. Being a meanie, I used the standard del. (£3-95) and it arrived the following day anyway.
Link is here http://www.tecno.co.uk/Products/SearchResults.aspx?searchword=mp3
BTW, forgive my ignorance but what's an e-cookie ?0 -
I have just ordered a 1Gb Mp3 player that doubles as a thumb memory stick for £12.99 + £3.95 p&p from 7 Day Shop, the link is:

I have used 7 day Shop a number of times in the past, their delivery is usually prompt and their prices are very good. I only ever had one problem and they resolved that very quickly.0 -

But remember, there are MP3 players, and there are MP3 "HiFi" players. Just because its cheap does not mean its worth having.0
