Nikon Camera at Heathrow Airport

Hi there,

Is it cheaper to buy a Nikon DSLR at the airport rather than a High Street Store/Internet please?

I'm looking at a D90 body only and have found one at Heathrow but it doesn't tell you the price?

Must admit I haven't been through Heathrow in a while, but last time I was there, the prices were much too high.

They really seem to be there to cater for people who want to indulge themselves on the way to/from holiday, and not for people seeking good deals.

I agree with above. Cheaper prices on the High St and online.

If you are tempted while at airport just use wifi to do a quick online search to compare price.

Most airside shops are a rip off at the end of the day the most you can get off is 20% VAT , based on a 30-45% inflated price versus the internet from UK retailers.

In Heathrow last summer OH, the Nikon obsessive, was astounded that prices were as high as they were.

So don't wait for the airport price is my advice to you.

I don't think I've ever seen anything tech-wise in an airside or "duty free" store that I couldn't get substantially cheaper elsewhere.
