Hi all,
After reciving a cold call from the claims advisory group, (well they called continuosly for two weeks on my mobile. I answered some questions over the phone only giving the banks name and perhaps my home phone number they already had my name and address.
They were very persistant about sending me a claim pack which in the end i gave in and agreed to the pack being sent to me.
I haven't returned or signed anything but of course a reprsentative keeps calling to ask me to sign the forms and when am i going to sign the forms.
My question is it does state in the terms and conditions that they have sent, that I do not enter into a contract with them until I return the forms is this correct? because I am not going to sign and return them thankfully I have done some digging and reliased it is not really for me and I could in fact do the claim myself.
Of course the guy is going to keep ringing me for the time being he called tonight and asked when i would be sending them back and I said that I wouldn't be sending them back, he then replied that he would he wait for me to sign them and he would call back soon to check if i was going to or not and that I should.
I just want to confirm that I havent entered into any agreement with them have I?
I did ask the guy on the phone and he said that I havent and cannot enter an agreement with them over the phone.
Can anyone confirm that I havent entered an agreement with them?
thanks in advanced :P

Hi worried25, and don't be worried
No you haven't entered any contract with them and we hope you never will. All they will do on your behalf is send in your questionnaire for you. YOU CAN DO THAT it's ever so easy to go to the Post Office and post a letter
If you let them do it they will rob you of at least 25% of any redress you may get.
Next time they phone tell them you have done it yourself and you do not wish them to phone you again

Yea I did think as much just checking, these companies are so annoying.... It is easy to get caught out, and thier persistance is endless. I definatly won't be signing anything of course.
Thanks very much dilus0 -
Take a look here. In particular, consider client specific rule 15 on page 8. You have not signed anything so the 14 day cooling off period cannot have begun, let alone ended.0

How do i get a response on here

Well, it helps to address your queries to someone who is actually online at the time!neverlucky wrote: »How do i get a response on here
In answer to your question:
If you have signed a contract with "Claims Advisory" and authorised them to act on your behalf with regard to your PPI complaints then you are of course going to have to pay any fees you have incurred as a result.
Sorry.0 -

I do actually have life outside here (looking at Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Mars - will have a look at Saturn later).
Whether you have to pay will depend on your contract with them and whether they have broken any MOJ rules.
If the contract you signed authorised them to do this and no rules were broken then you have to pay I'm afraid.
Oh - and if you want to get lucky think about what you are doing and the possible consequences BEFORE committing yourself. You won't win them all but you will probably win more than you lose.0 -

Hi. It could be because of the number of people who come on here thinking that the forum owes them an answer. And God forbid anyone should even think about taking responsibility for themeselves.
All anyone seems to know at the moment is that they had PPI and that it was miss-sold. The fact that no one seems to know who they borrowed from and what the amount was they agreed to pay back doesn't seem to matter. It seems acceptable in society to be wooly and vague if you're a consumer.0
