Im a member of a Q hotel and tbh you dont need to collect any vouchers or anything for a free spa day..
you can get a free taster day for 2 by just completing this form ..hope this helps someone x

Last year my daughter had a free taster day at the Q hotel near York. She made the mistake of giving her real mobile number. For weeks afterwards she kept missing mystery calls from a number she did not recognize and it turned out to be the Spa calling her to encourage her to take out membership

Thank you! Just managed to book Hubby and myself in to Oxford Barcelo :j

Hope you've been out and bought 2 copies of today's Daily Telegraph

Having done a quick search for the offer I found this link on lastminute -
    http://www.lastminute.com/site/deals/specials.html

It tells you a bit more about the offer and what spas are included (the exact locations). I would post what spas are included but there are over 70.
It states 'The passes include free access to saunas, steam rooms, Jacuzzis and gyms PLUS they’re valid for 3 months. Choose a spa from the list below and quote:

"Telegraph-lastminute.com spa offer" over the phone to book your free spa day today. See Terms and Conditions for these exclusive offers.'

Here is the link for terms and conditions - http://www.lastminute.com/site/deals/telegraph_spa_exclusive_terms_and_conditions.html

From what I can read it looks like you don't even need to buy the newspaper. As it says to book quote 'Telegraph - lastminute.com spa offer.' It does not say you need to take in a voucher from the newspaper or anything. Anyway I hope this is helpful :)

    That's "TO BOOK"

The COUPON in the newspaper says ...

PRESENT THIS VOUCHER TO THE SPA UPON ARRIVAL TO VALIDATE YOUR DISCOUNT

Don't turn up without one (per person) :)

I have booked but have not bought the paper. This is for myself and my mum on mothers day at Barcelo Bath. Very lovely lady, no charges for robes and slippers. Not sure what to do about voucher. Most places that say they want voucher don't actually need it in reality.

I agree with Quoia - I would get a voucher to be on the safe side just in case they ask. A basic day pass to a Barcelo Hotel spa (which is what you are getting) is at least £15, probably more in somewhere like Bath. And this is just to use the leisure facilities when you are not actually a resident of the hotel.

I remember many years ago doing a free day at a gym (think with the Times) and they were well versed on obtaining the actual voucher from you.

I am sure there will be places that are more relaxed about it but, as I have said, with 70 different venues there are bound to be some insisting on a tangible voucher for each guest.

When I wrote my post it was before the newspaper came out and I was hoping it would help people decide whether to buy the newspaper or not depending on whether there was a spa near to them. I questioned whether it was necessary to buy the paper and some people have decided to take the chance and other people have stated you need to buy the paper. I also asked in a later post if anyone had actually bought the paper and if there are vouchers inside you have to present so everyone could be clear on whether you need to get the newspaper. Anyway in trying to help it unfortunately seems to have caused more of a problem...that will teach me...do not make any suggestions on mse! Sorry to all those people it has caused more hassle. I did not bother buying the paper or booking in the end because the closest spa to me knew nothing about it and I could not be bothered to argue about it with them. Seems very badly organised in my opinion. :(
  • Well here's a quick update for everyone. Barcelo in Bath do need the voucher. I rang and explained a couple of days ago that I didn't have one. They said another one would be in today's telegraph. Just bought it and it's not. So have sent them another email asking what I need to do now.

Just wanted to say thanks again to the OP on this one. Hubby and I have just got back from a great day out at our nearest Spa. Almost and hour gym work out, Sauna, steam rooms and lovely pool. Also treated ourselves to one of the fishy foot spas which was on a local half price offer and finished the day off with a meal at our local Table Table using the £14 voucher for 2 mains and a bottle of wine.

best day out in ages cheers
