When I rung up to book I quoted the offer and the woman was really unfriendly (in the way she spoke to me) and told me I have to book it through the telegraph and buy the newspaper (I did not say I had not bought it). I told her I thought I had to book it through her but she said I did not. She sounded like she did not know what she was talking about? Anyway that call has really put me off going to that spa (which I was going to go to for my birthday and pay for treatments prior to this offer coming up). It's a bit disappointing cause I had been looking forward to being treated by OH on my birthday (as he can't spend the day with me as planned due to meetings he has to attend so I will be on my own) but I won't be going now.
I just phoned the spa direct which is what the lastminute site tells you to do. Spoke to guy, quoted offer. I also asked if my hubby needed to phone and book his own, the guy was really helpful and said technically yes, but that seemed silly to him so he booked us both in. Hope this helps. Maybe phone back your local spa and if the person doesn't seem to know asked to speak with duty manager?0 -
Seems this is one of those offers which is widely advertised and yet when you ring one of the places they know nothing about it !
Rang the number which took me to a hotel switchborad - diverted to the spa but they were unaware of what was being advertised. Well done !
Why do companies do this !!!
It is hard on the staff who have to take calls and hard on the people who make them.
Better luck to those who find a place that is pre-trained in what the Telegraph/Last Minute is offering.
A relaxing day - HA !0 -

I got a much more friendly person at the spa where I wanted to go BUT they knew nothing about the offer and so didn't know what to do.....
I suppose with 70 locations there will be differing levels of staff awareness - some on the ball, some not.0 -
Hi, That's interesting. Did you find this in the "small print" or were you told this when you booked? The guy I booked with in Oxford said you didn't need to bring any voucher he'd marked up our reservation as "under the offer". I wouldn't be happy if I got there and couldn't get in:mad:
It says in the small print in the paper that you need a coupon for each person.Snootchie Bootchies!0 -
I just rang mt nearest - which is the belfry in nottingham - lady said mon-fri only, dont need to book but need the page/voucher from the paper, so I'm sending hubby out to get 2 papers.
I asked how much it would cost if we were to pay, just out of interest, and she said £15.0 -
Just a reminder to check the small print....
I was looking at QHotels' Crewe Hall and they mention charges for robes and slippers!
The pool at Crewe Hall we always found to be a bit cold“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I've got the paper but there's nothing in the Essex area (but 3 places near Stratford-on-Avon so a very patchy offer imo)

Just booked for me and a friend. Receptionist knew all about it, booked us in no problems. Just got to book our treatments. This was the Weybridge Health Club.0
