Hello all another question from me.
I have recently gone to work 16 hours after being off on sickness benefits.
This morning I recieved my Tax credits award letter and it says
From 28/01/2012 - 05/04/2012
Child Tax Credits £103.08 a week
Working Tax Credits £71.94 a week
Tax credits 2012-2013
Child Tax Credits £108.16 a week
So will I no longer get Working Tax Credits? What will make my income up then?
I work 16 hours earning £97.32 a week, and have 2 children under 3.
This years income £875.52
Next years will be £5060.64

You need to work more hours to get WTC. I believe its 24 hours a week.
D70How about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?0 -
If you are single then you should still receive WTC but if you are part of a couple then, between you, you will have to work at least 24 hours per week. Think that's right0

OP, you won't have to work 24 hours - that's a new rule for couples. It will remain at 16 hours minimum for single parents. I have no idea why it isn't appearing on your letter - perhaps best to ring Tax Credit Helpline and get the information straight from the horse's mouth0

I did and she made me even more confused :rotfl:
She didnt know if it would just end or if it would run on until I filled the renewal form in :cool:0 -
Oh blimey :rotfl:
I've dug out my award notice and it states the amount I should receive 2012-2013 and WTC is on there then underneath the CTC. I work 18.5 hours per week so I've no idea why your's doesn't state it. Sorry - I can't shed any light, I'm baffled0 -

Thank you for replying anyway0 -
You will probably get another notification in April telling you approximately how much you are entitled to. But they will want to know how much you received this year, and then your estimated earnings for 2012-2013.
It is complicated, but what do you expect when it is administered by the Inland Revenue :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
According to my calculator you should receive about £74 per week of WTC.
The only thing I can think of is that they have accidentally put in that you will be doing less than 16 hrs per week or that your job is due to finish from the new tax year as this would remove WTC but keep CTC in payment at that amount.
I think you need to ring them and make sure they have not done this.
As things stand you won't get another award letter until you complete the renewal which will be May time so no WTC which you cannot afford to lose.0
