does anybody know how much companys charge to change metres over I am just about to switch company from scottish power sick of the changing my dd payments and messing me about
We only use most of our electicity duing day but it was in when we moved in so costing us more than a normal meter would

Normally around £50. But many suppliers do not require a meter change, they will just total the off peak and peak rate registers to make the correct total.
You may need some wiring modifications if some of your equipment is wired to an exclusive E7 circuit, for example an immersion heater. This would be down to you, not to your supplier.

yes your day rate is charged at a higher rate with an eco 7 meter.you need to be using above a certain percentage of your total energy at the cheap night tariff to make it pay. british gas used to try and cream £40 to £50 off you to switch to single rate but you could try the " i me going to switch supplier if you dont do it for free " option

You don't get charged anything for a tariff switch-however if a new single rate meter is required, then you may be charged for the meter change.
