Redeem Trailfinders Gift Card

Hi, I have a £480 gift card from Trailfinders, given to me for my 60th.

However I have now been made redundant and the prospect of any kind of holiday is extremely unlikely. For this reason I would like to cash this in.

Initial contact with trailfinders suggests this is not possible!! What's the law here? They have had my money for a couple of years, earning some if not much interest and now their suggestion is that I sell the gift card on, presumably on e -bay, i would imagine at a substantial loss.

My friends are not rich, this is an insult

What can I do, this sort of thing must have occured in the past.

regards

terry

Trailfinders are a business and (unfortunately for you) they are not responsible for your change in circumstances. It does state on the website that vouchers are not able to be exchanged for cash which I should imagine covers them legally.

I would think your best bet is to ask around and see if you can find a friend/acquaintance of a friend who is planning to use Trailfinders and ask if they would kindly be prepared to take them off your hands for face value.

Failing that you can either sell them on (highly likely at a loss) or hang on to them as they are valid indefinitely and your circumstances may well change again for the better.
