guarantee on washing machine longer for R.O.I

Any thoughts on this as i just bought a whirlpool washer and i noticed the leaflet for the R.O.I is 2 yrs whereas us 'uk' only gets a year! What a con...oh yes it offers the extra years but only if you pay for it...why is this? Surely these companies appliances are fit for purpose for 2 yrs for everyone..i am so peeved about this

There's no legal requirement for the manufacturer to provide any warranty here.
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Thats for the EU market, the secret EU rule is not a secret in the rest of the EU.
You will find the UK is better and the year you see on the sticker can be taken with a pinch of salt. We have SOGA to protect us.
