Rubbish e mails.

Hi I have a lot of spam e mails mixed in with some i want so cant just delete them all in one go. Can anyone remind me what to do to filter out certain ones. I stumbled across what to do once but cant remember. Eg i get lots for enlargement ( if you get my drift lol ) and also for viagra and im a woman. Thank you :)

Depending on your email provider (ISP, gmail, hotmail, etc), you should be able to set up rules to move suspect email to either the spam folder or the bin based on various criteria.

get a gmail account. easily the best spam filtering on a free account i've ever seen, and for a free account the features are also the best. every other email freebie is simply trying to play catch up.

No one can advise you without knowing your email provider. - which should in any case have help on how to deal with spam. I'm with Yahoo and I have certain addresses on total block but spam tends to vary the address so I filter it into spam using keywords in the subject line.
I get two or three a day - which however is nothing compared to what I got when I used Hotmail.
PS gmail is OK so long as you are not concerned about Google privacy.
    * It should be clear which ones are spam and you should be able to tick those messages unread (always the best option) and delete all in one go.

the publicity that google have had, along with ex CEO eric !!!!!!!'s views on privacy haven't shown them in a good light, but to be fair, any free provider isn't going to be as private as perhaps some of you might think. if you want anything close to "real" privacy in your email, get your own domain and mail server and send mail over a secure channel.

Online "privacy" is a fallacy anyway, anything you post online or hold on records is seen by someone and that someone always has a potential to be compromised.

you want real privacy.. delete all online accounts, change your name, cancel your contracts and cards, sell your house and drop off the grid. lol.

    Spambots are not gender-aware, unfortunately.
