reclaim ppi with no paperwork - help please

Hi There

I have been a slave to these banks and credit cards for most of my adult life.

I want to try and get back as much as I can but dont know where to start. I was told that you can claim without any paperwork, how do I go about this? Where do I start.

If anyone has any inforamtion that would help me, i would greatly appreciate it.
thanks

    Hi and welcome

If you have reasons for being mis sold, ppi, and can try to get hold of the account numbers that is fine, you can just continue to make a reclaim.

You can of course optionally request for paperwork, for example via a Subject Access Request (SAR) but as said optionally.

You can try calling into the local branches of where you paid direct debit for the loans, and they will try tracking them down for you, or if you bank online, and still with the same bank now, this may allow you to go back to about 2002 to 2003, so even if you were still paying direct debit in that time, the loan account numbers (which is also the account number you use for PPI reclaiming), should be shown next to the monthly repayments.

If you do want to SAR, and all the accounts were taken out with the same business/bank, one SAR request is sufficient and the one off payment of £10 cheque or postal order, you do not have to pay out for every single account you had with them, as they should send copies of everything you had with them by giving just the bank account number.
Hope that helps, and below are details of a SAR letter template (if you want to do this). They have 40 calendar days to compy.

And details of how to reclaim below too, a reclaim questionnaire, complete and send to business who set up and sold your account, keep copies for your reference as well, good luck.
