Any important data on it? What type of "recovery disc" did you put on your USB. How did you copy the disc onto the USB?0

Sadly not. I don't think you made your USB pen drive bootable, hence why it did nothing at startup.
If you want a flash drive to be bootable, you have to use a utility like diskpart to do that. Then copying an install DVD to it will make it act as bootable install media for Windows.
A. Make a bootable flash drive by opening a Command Prompt, 'Run as Administrator', to run these commands:
diskpart
('list disk' to determine number)
select disk 2 (if it is 2)
clean
create partition primary
select partition 1
active
format fs=fat32
assign
exit
B. Copy DVD to the Flash Drive
xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\0 -

To repair the volume, follow these steps:
Start your computer by inserting the Windows startup disks or the Windows installation disk if your computer can start from the CD drive.
When the Welcome to Setup screen appears, press R to select the repair option.
If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot computer, select the Windows installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.
Type the administrator password when you are prompted to do this.
Note If no administrator password exists, press ENTER.
At the command prompt, on the drive where Windows is installed, type chkdsk /r, and then press ENTER.
At the command prompt, type exit, and then press ENTER to restart your computer.
After you repair the volume, check your hardware to isolate the cause of the file system damage.
If this procedure does not work, repeat it, but type fixboot instead of chkdsk /r in step 5.0 -
thx for reply but no disc drive so i have to do it from usb and ive tried the pressing r but nothing happens =(0
