Has anyone got experience of these products or can suggest a solution. I am not necessarily look for a bargain basement type of fix - just something that works and gives us some peace.

    Thanks in advance.

Had a Rangemax next kit (DG834N router and WN121T) got it when they first came out and it cost me £180. Returned it within 3 days and got my money back. Returned to my old Rangemax DG834PN and WPN111. The signal was exactly the same within the house and only improved in open ground. My router sits at my back upstairs bedroom window and there was no increase of signal in my downstairs front room. My house has solid floors and walls. Only improvement was at the back garden as I now could get 4 out of 5 bars instead of 3 at the bottom of my garden.

After a lot of searching and finding only mixed reviews it seems the plugs are unpredicable over more than one ring main.. only way to find out is to try it so I ordered the WGXB102 from ebuyer. It should work for the XBOX downstiars on the same ring main as the router.. and at least i can try the one upstairs. If it works i will buy another WE102 if not .. at least I will have XBOX 360 peace! I will let you know how I get on ! seee http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?t=6791&highlight=ring+main

Hi .. just a bit of feedback. Well the kit worked over the 2 ring mains. :T Showing speed of 54mbps more or less consistently and haven't bothered setting pc in best place for wireless yet. Watching videos on youtube can be a bit choppy and Internet pages load slower than downstairs but hey .. it works. Sort of wishing I'd got the 85mbps ones now - which someone recommended as better for a larger house. Once son is back from camping I will get him to test his Xbox 360 - ( can sign onto live no problem ). Best thing is - no need to buy another plug.. son can't be in 2 places at once so he can just take the homeplug to which ever room he wants to play in.
