Hi all

curiousm if any of you guys happen to buy meat online in bulk, i ask as I will be following a specific diet high in meats, so looking for some good quality grass fed stuff
I understand buying in bulks is cheaper so would give it a go, curious if anyone else does this and where the can suggest

For years my parents have bought meat in bulk from the butchers - they have bought half pigs and half and whole lambs. If you have the freezer space it's a good thing to do, provided you'll use all the cuts that you get.
The meat has always been so much better quality than what you'd get from the supermarket and it does work out cheaper but I couldn't tell you how much. They've never bought it online though, it's always been from the butchers and has been locally reared meat. There is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0 -

I mjst admit, Im a chef, and Im into health/nutrition I was going to ask the butchers that supplies the hotel I work for but im due to change jobs soon so cant ask now
I dotn really know the local butchers as such as my dealings with butchers have been through work, I'll have to look around and get kown to them then
But yeah as I work alot, i tend to shop online alot which is why I asked0 -
find someone recommended that runs a small holding and ask them to raise the beast you require
they will arrange slaughter etc
took us a year to eat all the pork we got mind, but it melted in your mouth0 -
I used to work with someone who had a smallholding and we had a half pig from him a couple of times. It was honestly the best pork ever. His pigs were free range in his orchard and the meat was just superb. There is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0

A friend got a whole pig - but it was cut up in such a way that the joints were huge and difficult to store in their small freezer.0

You need to get to know the butcher and he will cut as requested, my mum has always bought a whole pig, whole lamb and fore quater of beef but as she always used the same butcher he knew what she wanted and even bagged it at the right amounts for what she needed based on our familySealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
If you're after grass fed beef, I highly recommend Rosewood Farm. Their website is being updated atm, but it has contact details on there.0
