Cheap online broker who deals in uk and australia

i hope this is the right thread.
my broker has been taken over and the charges have gone through the roof (they wanted £175 for sale of just 1 stock).
can anyone recomend a broker for ocassional trading ?
i hold shares in canada and australia so if possible would need to transfer these over and would also i would like to deal in these countries in the future as well as on the london stock exchange
