EBIco - will they come down too?

I signed up to EBIco on the advice of this chat board last year and before my transfer had even gone through they put up prices by 30%.

Now British Gas and Powergen have come down, are EBI likely to follow? My instinct is that they wont, because they took so long to put up their prices before.

You can bet if I switch away they will cut their prices, but if I stay they wont!!

They are still about the cheapest for me, even if they dont put their prices down.
For an average annual gas consumption of 20,500 Kw Ebico/Equigas will cost £523,(for all payment methods) whereas BG's new lowered prices will cost £526 to £587 depending on the way you pay.

It is not the % price changes that matter, BUT how many pennies you pay.;)

they only tend to change prices once per year, but just because British Gas have reduced prices doesn't mean they are cheapest, all it highlights is how expensive they've been ripping people off for last few months. Have you actually calculated whether you need tomove or is the advertising luring you in falsely?

Ebico have an annual price review in the past this has always been September 1st, I'm staying put until then, then I will review before winter don't be seduced Ebico are still very competitive paticularly in warmer months, hopefully they will reduce prices in September.

Received this email from Ebico today

    Winter 2006/7

Welcome to the autumn issue of EQUATE, our free quarterly e-newsletter for
customers of EQUIGAS, EQUIPOWER and EQUICLIMATE.

With British Gas announcing a price reduction that reverses their increase last
September (EQUIGAS and EQUIPOWER are still cheaper!), it looks as if utility
prices have passed their high-water mark. We’ll be working hard to get price
reductions to EQUIGAS and EQUIPOWER customers as soon as possible. But with
utility prices changing so fast, the good times are rolling for two groups of
companies – the internet price comparison services and the door-step selling
agencies. We’re getting anecdotal evidence from our customers that some
door-step agents are getting a little too greedy. Follow this link for more

EBICo made a small profit in 2006 – and we’re giving it away! Follow this link
