Will a Lloyds Payment go via FPS to a Barc

Hi,

I need to send 40 quid over to a Barcs account for tomorrow, will it shoot into the account instant?

Has Lloyds fully adopted faster payments now or isit a hit and miss still..

Don't want to send it then it takes 3 working days :/

Thanks

  • It will go as Faster Payment as Lloyds has a limit of £25,000 I believe and Barclays has £10,000 so you are well below this

Since the PSD came into force on 1st Jan there's no such thing as a 3 day BACS transfer.

Whilst it's almost certainly the case that your money will arrive instantly, the PSD does allow the payment to arrive by the end of the next working day.

    For incoming payments? Surely not!

Made Transfer, Advisor said the same thing, Money hasn't hit the account so I guess it will take 3 days.
