in Credit cards
Im wondering if it would be ok to apply for a vanquis credit card even though ive just applied for a capital one card yesterday, managed to sign the agreement this time instead of just the usual green ticks, but i know it isnt a guarantee. Anyway... should i wait a bit before applying for a vanquis or just go for it?

Can't see it doing any harm ! As long as you haven't made a huge amount of applications in the last few months.
Best of luck !0 -
No last application was almost a year ago lol Thanks0

try it. I got approved for their granite card (34.9% apr, £500 limit) and I have _NO_ previous credit history and my electoral register status hasn't even been posted to my credit report yet.
be aware though, when they call you and you answer, they have a habit of simply hanging up on you. they did this to me twice so i phoned them and they claimed their automatic dialler is having issues...
the number I got called from was 02080450076 - that's a London area code and the person I spoke to was British and clearly spoken so no struggling to understand the accents from those of foreign call centres (like capital one!)
they took about 10 days from applying online to call me.
good luck.Oh, you wee bazza!0 -

This documentation is likely to be required for an identity/address check and so they will probably require current documentation (dated within the last 2-3 months).
Do you have a recent utility bill, scan of your drivers liscence etc that provide?0 -

Sorry for late reply, i dont have passport or driving licence or recent utility bill lol so just sent them a random bunch of stuff and few days later got my pin sent out, just waiting on my card now0 -
while Vanquis are no doubt a great way to get started, do be aware that they have some very sneaky tactics. I have not been impressed so far, but thankfully I have enough savvy to persevere and make sure they don't fob me off.
