  • Given my recent experiences with their so-called fitting service I wouldn't let them anywhere near my car.

  • I had my MOT done with them last year and they were fab, my car initially failed on a faulty bulb, but they then spent quite some time fiddling with said bulb and it turned out the fitting was bent, they corrected it at no cost and then immediately passed the MOT. I have had no problems with it and would happily use them again.

I've found them to be perfectly OK, used them a few times. Easy to slag off any repairer, a nationwide chain will always give somebody somewhere a bad experience.

It's quite a useful combination of offers they have, including Tesco clubcard for the MOT and full service (combined full cost of around £270 can be met with £90 of clubcard vouchers), the new lifetime guarantee for brake pads, and payment of any balance (parts and labour outside of the clubcard offer) with a Barclaycard platinum thing (the one with the 9.09% £100 cashback until last December) giving a further 2% off future transactions.
  • Shame, doesn't look like you can use Tesco Clubcard for discounted MOTs:

Tesco Clubcard Deals Vouchers can only be used for full or part payment towards a Full Service (Full retail price) and / or MOT (Full VOSA fee). They cannot be used for any other type of servicing or combined service & MOT offers. Tesco Clubcard Deals Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discount.

    Still a good deal though.

had my cars MOT'd by them with no problems on half price deals for last two years and one car is now 12 years old. Staff were fine and had no problems with half price voucher other than trying to sell fuel additive.
