Give newbies a break?

Just a message from a buyer.
I'm not out to rob anyone, and I'm sure most folk aren't.
Can't you trust us as much as we trust you? Bearing in mind that most people pay by paypal or whatever and we aren't all thieves, gypsies and rogues?
Actually, that's an insult to gypsies. I don't know why you're so mistrusting towards newbies (without reading feedback).
Give us newbies a break please?
(I posted this because us newbie buyers need an outlet too - not an attack on any eBay seller - who, so far, I like and admire)

I've just recently become a buyer and I've spent quite a lot in the last few days................shhhhhhhh hubby doesn't need to know how much...............I pay as quick as I can ,like write the cheque as soon as I win, stick it in an envelope and away it goes..................I figure the sooner the payment gets there ,the sooner I get my goodies........and we're all happy, ain't we:D0

Ohhhhh, you use cheques? I'll avoid you as a buyer if I ever get to be a seller
The thing is traf, I know I pay immediately by paypal. If it stops me (as it does sometimes) the cheque is literally in the next post.
This is not me bragging, but I shop at Harrods, clearance by the way, and don't get queried as much as I think paypal and ebay buyers do!
Funny old world isn't it?

Don't buy into the myth traf. Harrods can be as cheap as eBay, if not cheaper.
PM me and I'll give you examples.0 -

for the inconvenience of a cheque you get the bonus of no paypal fees... works both ways0

As a newbie buyer, what's the difference to me?
As a maybe future seller...?0 -
Regardless of what might ensue, I only opened this up as a topic as a right to reply for honest buying newbies.0

as a buyer using cheques means you can expect to wait longer to be sent your item as people wait for the funds to clear. also you aren't protected as well if the seller decides to not send you the item as well. though ebay does have a proection policy its not as easy to claim as it is with paypal.0

I don't mind newbies buying off me! esp if they are inexperienced and don't win the item ....just bump the price up!!!
I think that peoples arguements with newbies is that a lot of people are getting scammed!
You have to remember OP we were all newbies at one point so it is unfair if you get treated any different!
.....and just for the record! ....I am not against Newbies!! I even buy off them (if the money is only little!!) cos a lot of people won't so you can get a bargain!
