Thomson remove hotel from existing booking

Booked a holiday to the algarve in June (booked in October 11)
They have just contacted us to say that the hotel is being removed due to new ownership.
They have offered us a couple of alternatives (subject to availability) both of which are 4T 1 bed AI, instead of the 5T 2 Bed AI that we booked.
Where do we stand and who can we turn to before we enter into negotiations with them?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!:mad:

The reason we booked this hotel is because we have a 4 year old and wanted a seperate room for him without him having to sleep in a lounge/kitchenette!!0
