Can you overlap contents insurance policies?

Some help please....

I've just looked at the Zurich deal on contents insurance but I still have contents insurance that runs out in a month with another company.

I know with motor insurance you can't have two policies running alongside each other but am not sure about contents insurance....

Thanks!

Same rules apply. You can only have 1 policy at a time.

Of cause you can cancel the other one early but then will probably get no refund if there is only one month to run

No claim outstanding - phoned them and they said as I pay monthly the worst that could happen was losing a month's payment (10.00ish), which I have! I have cancelled my policy and started a new one with Zurich :) After Quidco and M&S voucher incentive and lost month's DD, I am about 87p down! 87p for a year's insurance is mighty good I reckon....
