Car pulls way left all the time?

At last, some sensible suggestions:T
Might be an idea to look at the tyre wear on the fronts for an idea of what is happening. Also see if the wheels are loose. Jack the car up and see if the wheels revolve freely. Take the wheels off and see if you can move or shake any of the suspension components.
If you cannot find anything, then take it to a friendly/trusted garage - not Con U Fit or anyone like that.0 -
You say you had the tracking done, have you checked the figures on your printout with the manufacturers figures?
Just a thought because it is not unknown for the operator to use incorrect settings.0 -
You need to first exactly define how bad the problem is. If the car makes one lane change at about 60mph over a distance of 100meters plus this is defined as drift. If it is less than this then it is defined as pull. The common misconception is that these issues can be fixed by adjusting the front tracking. This is wrong and will not work. The cause can be many things but the first thing to do is the rear tracking and camber angles. This always needs to be set first to the tolerances specified by the manufactuer. Once this is set then they can do the front. Most modern geometry devices will measure all angles and you need to include ride heights in this as the front and rear camber is affected by ride height.
All cars do not pull to the left either as it's possible to put in offsets to counter general camber conditions and this should be in the manufactuers specs provided though it won't specifically mention it.
Obviously one would expect that the routine things such as tyre pressures and obvious damage have been checked for first.0 -
Rear wheel alignment, had a Ford Mondeo where this was out and had similar effects0

What make of car ??Hi,
My car always pulls to the left hand side of the road. For instance if i took my hand off the wheel it would hit a wall on the left in less than 3 seconds. I have had the car tracked and aligned, new bushes and all round new tyres. Any other ideas? Alloy wheel also in very good nik.
Thanks.0 -
also to add make sure the wheel bearing is not worn. and the whole hub (wich track control arm and wishbone and drivshaft and bearing sits in) assessed, a friend was going mental about his car pulling to one side, and everything changed or looked at to no conclusions, i put my head under the arch screaped away dirt and dust to find a kink in the hub hub replaced and car was normal previous owner must of hit a curb with force replaced the cheapest but still got pull so got rid leaving the problem for my mate to sort out.0

Its a Citroen C2 VTR 2004, thanks for all the useful replies. I noticed this was happening when my new tyres were fitted. Could this be the main problem? I will be changing them round to see if this makes any sort of difference.
Its a really annoying problem as the car has never ever had any problems what so ever. However its making up for this by giving me the run around to get it fixed :@0 -
Check the tyre runout.
Good point, in fact if the OP has directional tyres it is worth checking they have been fitted the right way round0 -
Get it done again - by someone else.I have had the car tracked and aligned,
Get FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT done.
I had the same issue - car would veer sharp to the left. People suggested camber of the road as you're being told here, but i knew this was nonsense. Camber of the road didn't bring on such a sharp left turn - especially when the car ran like it was on rails only months earlier.
I took mine for 4 wheel alignment, but it turned out they only did 2 wheel on mine. They claimed they'd done 4 but it was nonsense. They also didn't see to the passenger side as the nut was seized.
So i took it to a mobile wheel align fella who got out his lazers & took to it. He slated their work & showed me where they'd cut corners.
He did proper 4 wheel alignment & after that i was good to go.
But this isn't to say this is your problem. You could also have issue with your brakes, your tyres & other things that have already been mentioned.
All i'm trying to do is show you that just because you've had wheel alignment done, doesn't mean the car doesn't need the wheel alignment seeing to.0
