Calling all Cardiff people....Looking to go out for Sunday lunch (Roast) soon with a date and I need to find somewhere (not too pricy)...preferably near one of the train stations from Treforest (Cathays, Queen Street, Central etc) as she is arriving by train and I will be driving from Newport.
Any suggestions welcome

Please if you like your sunday roasts DO NOT USE THE MASON'S ARMS, we have been there three times now, since they had there refurbishment, the tables are crammed together, and as people are waiting to get there meal the Q goes right around the resturant, then by the time you get your meat and veg, everything is cold by the time you get back to your table, the first time we went we thought oh well they only re-opened last week, the potatoes were raw, even though they looked nice and crispy, the broccoli was rock hard and so were the carrots.
Second time was the same.
Third time I honestly didn't want to go back there but it was a family birthday party, so I didnt have any option, and it was exactly the same.
You would be better off in the Royal Oak in Newport, that is excellent.0
