iI am trying to connect my computer to the Tv which is quite new and has a HDMI port but I cannot get anything.
Any ideas please

VGA to HDMI needs a converter in-between to make it work (VGA is analogue and HDMI is digital).
What ports does the TV and laptop have?Laters

VGA to HDMI should be a last resort if the laptop doesnt have any digital video outputs. Have a look and see if the laptop has a DVI port or a DisplayPort, these would be better options with the right cable. If you want to use VGA you will need a device to convert the signal to digital (unless the TV has a VGA input?)0
