It's username, password, and 3 letters from your secondary password, which you have to enter using a mouse.
  • Halifax tell me to register for online banking, you have to ring them after you have filled in the registration form on the website so that they can quiz you further and deny you access to your money.

Have any new customers done that this month and is this the deal?
Is this more 'we don't trust you' as this is not mentioned on the website or T&C's

Perhaps a quick read of the T&Cs you accepted whilst registering might help? (their bold)
Once you have registered with our Online Banking service you must provide us with identity details before we will allow you to use the services for the first time.

  • 'Identity details' are obsolete pieces of information no longer demanded on registration (First school, birth place, parents name etc).
You will discover this to be the case if you 'forget' your password or username.

As stated, replies from new customers please.
