c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt prob

Hi

I keep getting this:

c:\windows\system32\autoexect.nt. the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications choose close to terminate application.

can anyone tell me how to fix this prob i have

  • Another shorter solution, but this one isn't guaranteed.

    On the *.exe file, or your desktop shortcut to the problem, right click. Select 'Properties' from the menu, then 'Compatibility' on the tabs at the top. Check the 'Run this program in compatibilty mode for', and select Win 2000. Then 'Apply' and 'OK'.
    This works a lot of the time, but if no joy, you may have to resort to the link above.
